Sandwell Nagar Kirtan on the 22 Nov 2015, there was thousands Sikhs took to the streets of West Bromwich to Smethwick to mark the birth anniversary of the founder of the Sikh faith Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Nagar Kirtan made its way from Guru Harrai Gurdwara West Bromwich High Street to the Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Smethwick.

Eight of Sandwell’s Sikh temples, or Gurdwaras, took part in the parade, which marched to the beat of loud drums and was led by a decorated float Darbar Sahib with Sri Guru Grant Sahib ji

“The Nagar Kirtan will be a very joyous occasion and I hope we will be able to celebrate this event with minimum disruption to residents, business owners, services and other road users.”

Following the four-hour procession religious services were held to celebrate the occasion at the Gurdwaras.

Gurdwara Guru Har Rai Sahib President Bhai Daya Singh said; The management of Guru Har Rai Sahib Gurdwara would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who help including the sat-sangat who bless the day.
